Frank Haslam Milan (FHM) is celebrating after scooping a gong for the high quality of its partnering work with local authority clients.
The Yorkshire and East Midlands Region of the community regeneration specialist won the Best Partnership with a Local Authority category of the South Yorkshire and Humber Building Excellence Awards.
The shortlisted project, SAFAR (Sheffield Accommodation for Alcohol Rehabilitation) was delivered by FHM for South Yorkshire Housing Association with the collaboration of Doncaster and Sheffield Building Control departments.
FHM's partnering ethos ensures the complexities of the building control approval process, when undertaking new build projects, are dealt with efficiently and effectively to ensure the successful delivery of a quality product on schedule and within budget.
Mark Hayes, Design and Build Manager for FHM, said: "We are delighted to have received this prestigious award.
"We take great pride in the successful relationships we are able to build with our clients and partners to ensure we work closely on all aspects of the construction process from beginning to end. This award is testament to those relationships."
Tony Stacey, Chief Executive at SYHA said, "The SAFAR scheme means a lot to SYHA. For the previous 15 years the service was provided in a privately rented house in Longley. The project and the staff are great and fill a real gap in Sheffield in the provision of services for people with alcohol dependency".
"When the opportunity came up to work with the City Council and reprovide the scheme on a new site, we jumped at it, and what a fabulous scheme we have ended up with. FHM could not have done a better job."
Winners of all the regional awards will attend a ceremony in London to announce the national winners later this year.
