Apprentice joiner Danny Pinchard is about to complete his training with FHM after becoming one of the first recruits through the Outward Bound scheme.
Danny became an apprentice with FHM after completing a week-long challenge in the Lake District. He is now in the final stages of his dream apprenticeship in joinery and will be fully qualified next year.
Danny said: "I was delighted to be offered an apprenticeship scheme with FHM and none of it would have been possible without the Outward Bound scheme.
"I'm so happy with the way it's turned out. I've really got stuck in - I think joinery is something that comes quite naturally to me."
As part of the apprenticeship scheme, Danny has gained an NVQ Level 2 in joinery and an ICA health and safety certificate at New College Durham.
Danny added: "FHM is a great company to work for. If I hadn't been picked by Outward Bound I would have been forced to fund a college course myself and wouldn't have gained all the practical skills that FHM has to offer.
"When I finish my apprenticeship, I want to gain as much experience as possible before thinking about taking up management training."
